Avalanche Skills Training
Regardless if you are ski touring, snow shoeing, ice climbing or snow mobiling, you should take the time to educate yourself about
avalanche hazards and safe winter travel in the backcountry. After all, it's for your safety!
This is an excellent course for those wanting
to get into winter backcountry recreation activities, or for those already playing in the mountains but haven't been formally trained
on avalanche hazards.
Offered every second weekend throughout the ski season for only $170/person. The AST course format focuses on avalanche hazard recognition and avoidance and it is meant to give the recreationalist tools for his / her own decision making in the field. The course is also a prerequisite for the CAA level 1 course.
