Telemark Skiing

Come out and enjoy an hour or two of telemark skiing or join us for a full day clinic. Learn this graceful and fluid form of skiing; a mix of the old tradition of Nordic and alpine skiing created by the Norwegians in the 1800's. The term Telemark comes from the Telemark plateau in Norway where inventive skiers advanced the binding system on nordic skies in efforts to enhance control on speedy downhills. Today you'll see most telemark skiers in gear very similar to alpine skiers and charging all terrain just as agressively.
