Please read through the information below carefully before you apply. Applications that are missing information will not be processed. Our Employment Opportunities page lists all of our current openings, with links that take you to job descriptions and application buttons. All applications must be submitted through our online application site.

What do I need to submit with my application?

Cover Letter and Resume: Please ensure your resume is up-to-date and contains your current email address and telephone number. Resumes must be uploaded in Word or .pdf formats.

Application Video: We like to meet all of our candidates in person, but understand that this is difficult for non-locals. KHMR is looking for candidates who represent our Four Core Values of Fresh, Empowerment, Passion and Sustainability. As it is a challenge for us to assess these qualities just on paper, we are requesting applicants to create a video application for our review and consideration. Videos should be 60 seconds or less and should demonstrate why you want to work at KHMR and why you are the best person for the job. Videos must be uploaded to YouTube or vimeo etc. and the link to your video should be included in your resume or cover letter. Please note that video applications are not mandatory, but will help you stand out amongst the thousands of resumes we receive annually!

Returning Staff

If you have been employed at KHMR within the past 12 months, please email your current resume to employment@kickinghorseresort.com with a brief note to inform us of what role you would like to return to this season. All returning staff must submit this email as an indication of their intent to return no later than September 30th for the winter season and April 30th for summer.

Am I eligible to Work at KHMR?

In order to be eligible to work at KHMR, you must possess the following:

Social Insurance Number (SIN): Every employee must present a valid Social Insurance Number prior to commencing work.  International employees must also provide a copy of their open Canadian Work Permit.

Valid Work Permit: All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada prior to accepting an offer of employment. Unfortunately, we do not provide sponsorship for seasonal applicants. More information about the Canadian Work Permit process can be found on the Canada Immigration and Citizenship (CIC) website at http://www.cic.gc.ca.

Winter Sports School: Current CASI/CSIA certification is required for all Winter Sports School applicants. International certifications are not accepted at this time.

Recruitment Process

Have you ever wondered what happens to your application after you complete the online process? At KHMR all applications are reviewed by the Employee Experience team for both a fit for the position and overall fit with the resort. Department Managers are then forwarded successful applications and will connect directly with the candidates they wish to interview. In-person interviews are conducted for local candidates, and Skype interviews are held for non-local residents.  If the interview was successful and positive references are provided, an offer of employment will be made. If the interview is unsuccessful, you will be notified  and may be considered for an alternate position with the resort.

Competition for jobs at the resort is high, so make sure you do whatever you can to stand out in your application. If you have been referred to the resort through a current or former employee, please inform us in your cover letter.
