Living in Golden
The Town of Golden is located only 20 minutes from the Resort and offers several options for accommodation. We recommend the local newspaper, The Golden Star, for rental and property listings. There is high demand for local accommodation in December, so it is suggested that housing be secured early. More information about renting in British Columbia is found at Residential Tenancy BC.
We have recently introduced a Staff Shuttle Bus for staff to make their way to and from the resort. The Staff Shuttle Bus runs six times daily, departing from Golden at the CP parking lot across from 7-Eleven, and dropping staff off at the KHMR Day Lodge parking lot. Also, we strongly encourage our staff to carpool and there is a local spot at the corner of Kicking Horse Trail and 9th St N. where you can hitch a ride from traffic heading up to the resort.
