Everyone is welcome to join!
Avalanche Awareness Days is a national celebration of Canada’s avalanche safety expertise and an invitation to enjoy the winter backcountry with education and training.
In partnership with the Canadian Avalanche Center and CARDA, the KHMR Safety team will have a day of fun, education, hands-on demonstrations, and many prizes to be won.

Schedule: Saturday & Sunday January 19-20
11:00am Transceiver Demo & Race
11:30am Digging Demo & Race
12:00pm Dig a snow profile with a pro
1:00pm CARDA search and rescue demonstration with our avalanche dogs
2:00pm Watch Explosive Avalanche Control Demonstration with a live blast
