Steep Dreams Ski Mountaineering Festival

Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is excited to partner with Steep Dreams to present the Steep Dreams Ski Mountaineering Festival running from March 25-27.  This year will be bigger than ever as we host the North American Championships, along with this race being the qualifying event for the Canadian and American national teams.

Three events are taking place over the weekend.

Friday – Features a vertical race as well as various clinics and opportunities to check out the course, practice skills, and generally ski your face off.

Saturday- Individual race – one of four on the Canada Cup circuit, focused on entire value terrain.  The race is open and accessible to all participants. Still, you can expect to see the fastest racers in North America toe the line as this is the North American Championships!  Also included in this event are Masters,  Junior, and Recreational categories.

Sunday- Canada’s only team’s race. In teams of two, this will take racers through the gnarliest/most awesome terrain Kicking Horse and the Dogtooth Range has to offer – and remember, this mountain is a stop on the Freeride World Tour so we have lots of options to work with.
