Steep Dreams Ski Mountaineering Festival
STEEP DREAMS is a two-day celebration of skiing and ski mountaineering at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, BC.
Day One features an Individual race – one of four on the Canada Cup circuit, focused on full-value terrain. Also included in this event is “skiduro” (timed descents only) rankings, as well as Open, Junior, and Recreational categories.
The second day of the festival showcases even bigger terrain with the only teams race in Canada and one of very few in North America. This will take racers, in teams of two, through the gnarliest/raddest terrain Kicking Horse and the Dogtooth Range has to offer – and remember, this mountain is a stop on the Freeride World Tour, so the terrain will be serious!
The weekend will also feature gear rentals, skimo clinics, awards, and a banquet.
