Golden, BC – The summer season at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort kicks off on Friday June 27th, with a special preview weekend on June 21st and 22nd – along with Mountain Biking, Hiking, Sightseeing and Grizzly Bear Interpretive Centre we also have races and family fun events all summer long!
KHMR Toonie Bike Race Series • June 28, July 12, 26 and August 9 & 23
Cultivating the DH biking movement and community feel – Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is thrilled to introduce the first Toonie Bike Race Series, spread over 5 legs forming a point series to find Kicking Horse’s best riders & featuring the best downhill trails of its world class bike park.
5 PEAKS Canadian Uphill Championships • June 29
BC Enduro Kootenay Rockies Series • July 19 & 20
This sanctioned 2 day event will stop in Crystal Bowl on July 20 and capture some of the best riding within KH Bike Park with 3 timed stages, allowing plenty of time for the cheering crowd to enjoy the celebrations located at the resort base.
The Western Open Downhill Mountain Bike Race • July 25, 26 & 27
Kicking Horse’s Bike Park will play host to the fastest downhill racers from Western Canada competing for $10,000 in cash and prizes. Cultivating the Mountain Biking trend and initiating the little wheels – Don’t miss out on the Shimano Kids Race!
Red Barn Petting Zoo • August 2 & 3
Start your day off with a ride up to visit the Grizzly Bear Refuge. Jump on an interpretative tour with our team to meet our most popular ambassador, Boo. Next, head up to the award winning Eagle’s Eye Restaurant for an elevated lunch and finally, head back down to the base to visit our special Petting Zoo friends!
Kicking Horse Adventure Camp • August 18– 24 (TBD)
No matter your age, your passions or skills, this camp will be the opportunity for all to discover our amazing playground in a fun and safe manner! CX biking, canoeing, survival & fire skills training, team building, swimming, horse bike riding and more.
Brewmaster Dinner • August 31 (TBD)
While immersing yourself in 360 degree alpine views at 7,700 ft, enjoy exquisite dishes paired perfectly with a selection of brews.
Golden Farmers Market • August 31
The Golden Farmers Market will set up in KHMR plaza: local Art, crafts and produce complimented with some great local entertainment.
