As temperatures heat up at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, the excitement for all things Summer has emerged, unearthing what the Horse has in store for the upcoming season!
Kicking Horse welcomes a NEW Adventure Centre; a centralized platform where guests can custom build their destination experience in Golden and book a variety of summer activities, including horse riding, ATV tours, rafting and more!
Located in the Day Lodge, the Adventure Centre will provide guests with the ease of accessibility to all that Kicking Horse Country has to offer to complement their Kicking Horse experience.
The Kicking Horse Bike Park has been gaining notoriety as one of North America’s best with developments being made all in the name of more epic riding! This summer will be no exception with the opening of a NEW Pump Track, located in the base area.
This riding season also brings the re-implementation of Bike Clinics; a chance to improve technique and get comfy in the saddle. Designed for riders of all abilities, the clinics will help develop skill, improve overall body position and build confidence while taming the Horse.
The tail end of last season saw the opening of several NEW bike trails that are just waiting to be broken in! Completing the Bike Park palate, Swamp Donkey is nearing completion with all efforts being made to open this long-awaited trail during the summer season. It is a jump trail that has tantalized Trail Crew for years designed with high-speed flow in mind; keep your fingers crossed!
Stepping off the gondola at the top of the mountain for the first (or even hundredth) time can induce feelings of wonder and humility as the ridgelines of the Selkirk and Purcell mountain ranges extend back as far as the eye can see.
With Gondola-assisted Sightseeing at the heart of Kicking Horse’s appeal, several hiking trails were re-worked and upgraded to increase the overall guest experience and show-off the panoramic views the Horse is known for. Interpretive signage has been implemented to further engage guests with their surroundings and to act as a guide on their mountain adventure.
