The Golden Ultra is a three-day stage running race (or relay) in Golden, BC, Canada. Runners may participate in all three stages as a solo or part of a relay, or may register for any single or combination of two stages separately.
The Golden Ultra features three stages: The Blood, The Sweat and The Tears. Runners may participate solo in the stage race, as a relay team of three, or may register for any single stage individually.
Day 1 – The Blood
Friday, September 22
Run uphill until you are sure you’re sweating blood. The first day of the 3-day Golden Ultra involves a 5 km uphill challenge. This one is going to hurt.

Day 2 – The Sweat
Saturday, September 23
You’re going to sweat. “Enjoy” one big and beautiful 55 km loop with fantastic mountain views. Running from the Town of Golden to the summit of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort… and back again…
2500 m elevation gain… and loss.
5 km of pavement, 45 km of singletrack, 5 km of fire road.

6:00 am – 7:00 am: Breakfast (Kicking Horse Mountain Resort)
7:30 am: START (Spirit Square, Golden)
7:30 pm: Finish line closes
6:00 pm: Dinner (Golden Civic Centre)
8:00 pm: Awards (Spirit Square)
