Route: Strava Course 5.86 km - 470 elev.gain
Starting from the top of the Gondola, racers will drop into It's a 10 via the hiking trail before linking into Stairway trail all the way to the lift. From there, the course dives down Cloud Nine for a fast and flowing descent before reconnecting with It's a 10. When exiting Cloud Nine and turning left onto It's a 10, riders must stay far left on the trail all the way through the end of Crystal Bowl. This will help maintain a safe and predictable flow of traffic through the area.
Runners will continue descending to the base of CPR Trail. After exiting Crystal Bowl and reaching the cat track, riders will encounter signage directing bikes to the right and vehicles to the left. For this section, please continue to stay far left. This corner is tight, and keeping left improves sightlines for both riders and vehicles, helping to reduce blind spots and increase safety for everyone using the road.
Once at the base of CPR Trail, the challenge shifts from gravity to grit. A sustained climb up CPR Trail leads competitors back to the Gondola summit, where the finish line awaits. Expect a mix of technical singletrack, and a leg-burning uphill. Yeehaw!
