BIG MOUNTAIN CENTRE

With legendary terrain and some of the best snow on the planet, the Big Mountain Centre is your guide to the ultimate mountain experience. The BMC lessons are geared toward those with the drive to progress to a new level in terrain exploration. If you are here for a day or a week, the BMC will show you how to maximize the snow while tapping into some local knowledge.

Full day: 8:30am (7 hr lesson) -  $629
Half day: 1:00pm (3 hr lesson) - $409

This is a day rate and includes a maximum of 5 people. Lift line priority included with lesson. Participants must be from the same family or safe cohort.

Description: This 2 day clinic is designed for women only freeski camps taught by top female instructors. For women looking to boost their confidence on off-piste terrain & learn some tricks to explore expert terrain. Includes lunch at Eagle's Eye on final day! Advanced reservation is required.

AVALANCHE SAFETY COURSE

Our Avalanche Skills Training (AST) course, offered through our Big Mountain Centre, is an excellent resource for those interested in winter backcountry recreation who haven’t been formally trained about avalanche hazards.

The AST course focuses on avalanche hazard recognition and avoidance to help participants with their own decision making in the field. It is also a prerequisite for the CAA level 1 course.

This 2 day course covers avalanche terrain recognition and avoidance, companion rescue, and how to use the Avaluator, a decision support tool. All courses are taught by professional members of the Canadian Avalanche Association and have an instructor to student ratio of 8:1.

There is a minimum of 3 students required for each course. Additional courses are available upon request.

Avalanche Skills Training 1

This product is intended for those who ski/snowboard at ability levels 5-6

Details: 2 full days starting at 8:30am. Ratio is maximum 1:8, minimum 3 participants required. The first day of the course is all indoor and does not require a lift ticket. Please note non-passholder rate includes a 1-day lift ticket. Further details and confirmation of start times and meeting locations will be sent to registrants prior to the start date.
