Perseid Meteor Shower Stargazing at 7,700ft
Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is pleased to announce the return of the Perseid Meteor Shower viewing at the Award Winning Eagle’s Eye Restaurant on Sunday, August 11. This year’s event will feature a binocular based astronomy presentation by Doug Thorp from the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. Once the sky turns to night, grab a tower pad and enjoy the view from the top of the mountain!

Due to inclement weather, we have elected to cancel the outdoor portion of tonight’s event.
The Stargazing Dinner will proceed as planned (still some tickets available!), and Doug Thorp from the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada will still be joining us for dinner and giving his full presentation inside Eagle’s Eye. Doug is a fantastic resource so we’re super grateful to have him share his knowledge for this event!
The modified itinerary is as follows:
6:00 – 7:00 PM | Dinner guests will upload on gondola
7:00 – 8:00 PM | Non-dinner guests will upload on gondola
8:00 PM – Doug Thorp’s presentation and discussion begins
10:30 PM – Download on gondola
Mother Nature may not always cooperate, but we’re still excited to share the wonderful buffet dinner our Eagle’s Eye team has put together for you all, in addition to Doug’s presentation. See you there!
