We have winter and summer seasonal roles that will leave you with experiences and friendships that will last a lifetime. Are you hoping to build a career rooted in the mountain lifestyle? What our staff are saying about us...

Video Application

Our commitment is to create great memories for our guests and staff alike. So we look for staff who can deliver excellence in guest service all day, every day, throughout our operating season. As it is a challenge for us to assess these qualities on paper, we request applicants to create a video application.

Please note that video applications are not mandatory, but will help you stand out among the thousands or resumes we receive annually!

Videos should be 60 seconds or less, demonstrate why you want to work at KHMR and why you’re the best person for the job. Videos must be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo, with the link to your video included in your resume or cover letter.

When do your seasons start and finish?

Our winter season operates from early December to mid-April; summer season runs from late May to the end of September.

What will I need in order to be hired?

You need to be legally entitled to work in Canada for the full duration of your contract, have a Social Insurance Number, and have arranged for your own work permit. Depending on the position, you may require a clear police check and extra certifications, such as Food Safe, Serving it Right, First Aid, Drivers License and Instructing Certificates (CSIA, CASI, PMBIA). We will also conduct pre-employment reference checks.

Do you hire international applicants?

Yes, as long as you have a valid work permit. You will be required to provide a copy or photo of your valid Canadian work permit and SIN Letter in order to commence working with us. You can speak to the Canadian Consulate in your country about obtaining a work permit for our amazing country!

Do you have staff accommodation?

No, at this stage we don’t have access to any staff housing. However, we are committed to making sure you have every resource available to you to find the perfect lodging for your time in Golden!

The town of Golden is located only 20 minutes from the Resort and has a range of accommodation opportunities. Many of the rentals are privately owned and managed, so you won’t find much on your typical real estate websites (although sometimes it’s worth looking on Kijiji or Remax Rental Properties).

To have the same opportunities as a local, join the Golden Classifieds and the Golden Homes for Rent or Sale Facebook pages. Private rooms or whole apartment rentals are posted on there for easy viewing. If you have a car then The Blaeberry Valley Apartments are always a good choice for accommodation.

If you’re looking for some short term accommodation for when you first arrive then look no further than Mary’s Motel, The Dreamcatcher Hostel and the Kicking Horse Hostel.
Make sure you’re aware of your rights as a tenant and read the BC Residential Tenancy Act.

Do I need a car?

In the winter season, we have a Staff Shuttle Bus that operates daily, morning and afternoon, stopping at multiple locations both in town and up at the Resort. We also promote a strong and safe carpooling game within our employee pool, motivating everyone by presenting one winner each month with a free oil change at Fountain Tire!

In summer the Staff Shuttle Bus isn’t available, but once again our staff are professionals at carpooling and have it narrowed it down to a fine art!

Living in a town surrounded by so many amazing National Parks, having access to a car is a big help in both the summer and winter months. Perhaps you and a friend want to get exploring the mountains by sharing the costs of owning a car! – why not check out the Golden BC Buy & Sell Facebook Page, Kijiji, Craigslist, or your Marketplace in Facebook.
